چکیده
The main object of the study is to demonstrate that Bruce-ladder multiplex PCR, which capable identify all Brucella species including vaccinal strains, a safe and practical method alternative bacteriological culture methods. Brucellosis zoonosis great socio-economic importance endemic in Turkey. In three-year period from 2009 2011, total 281 spp. isolates cattle, sheep goats were identified characterized by both conventional biotyping procedures PCR based called Bruce-ladder. Species identification phenotypic testing was concordant for tested. results showed preferred host pattern B.abortus isolates. terms identity, it found 94% isolations derived cattle exclusively biotype 3. B.melitensis 3 1 prevelant biotypes goats. Two as Rev.1 vaccine strain. Surprisingly, one goat S19 Other interesting observations isolation penicilin-sensitive non strains well an atypical strain on basis growth inhibition presence basic fuchsin dye. At end this study, concluded monitoring them are indispensable epidemiological tool brucellosis control

Identification and Determination of Antibiotic Susceptibilities of Brucella Strains Isolated from Patients in Van, Turkey by Conventional and Molecular Methods
PURPOSE Brucellosis is a worldwide zoonotic disease and still constitutes a major public health problem. In this study, we aimed to identify biovars of Brucella strains isolated from clinical specimens taken from brucellosis patients from the Eastern Anatolia region as well determine the susceptibility of these isolates to tigecycline and azithromycin, drugs that may serve as alternatives to th...
متن کاملMolecular Epidemiology and Antibiotic Susceptibility of Livestock Brucella melitensis Isolates from Naryn Oblast, Kyrgyzstan
The incidence of human brucellosis in Kyrgyzstan has been increasing in the last years and was identified as a priority disease needing most urgent control measures in the livestock population. The latest species identification of Brucella isolates in Kyrgyzstan was carried out in the 1960s and investigated the circulation of Brucella abortus, B. melitensis, B. ovis, and B. suis. However, suppo...
متن کاملMolecular Identification of Salmonella Strains Isolated from Livestock in Alborz Province and Their Serotyping
Background and Objective: Salmonellosis is an important infectious zoonotic disease that makes it even more significant to identify and control the causative strains. Molecular methods, especially polymerase chain reaction (PCR), for virulence genes can help to quickly and accurately identify Salmonella strains. Accordingly, the purpose of this study was molecular identification based on sivH, ...
متن کاملMolecular Identification and Conventional Susceptibility Testing of Iranian Clinical Mycobacterium fortuitum Isolates
Objective(s) Rapidly growing mycobacteria (RGM) are capable of producing diseases in humans. Since mycobacteria vary in their susceptibility, precise identification is critical for adoption of correct drug therapy. The main aim of this study was molecular identification and evaluation of antimicrobial susceptibility pattern of Iranian clinically isolated Myocbacterium fortuitum. Materials and...
متن کاملAfrican Lineage Brucella melitensis Isolates from Omani Livestock
Brucellosis is a common livestock disease in the Middle East and North Africa, but remains poorly described in the region both genetically and epidemiologically. Traditionally found in goats and sheep, Brucella melitensis is increasingly recognized as infecting camels. Most studies of brucellosis in camels to date have focused on serological surveys, providing only limited understanding of the ...
